Nestled in the peaceful countryside of Cazenovia, New York, The Haven at Skanda offers our visitors the opportunity to connect with rescued farm animals, nature, and community in a meaningful and inspiring way.
Whether you are visiting for a program, volunteering, attending an event, or simply spending time at the sanctuary, Skanda provides a welcoming environment where people of all ages can slow down, reconnect, and experience the healing power of compassion and connection.

Visiting Hours: 9am-4pm Monday through Saturday.
Parking: Parking is located next to the 3 bay garage in front of the horse trailers
Accessibility details: We are all ability levels accessible this includes or restroom. However, we are a working farm so there are areas where it may be a bit difficult to push a wheelchair. loose gravel, grass areas, etc.
Weather guidance: Most of our tour is outside. We will still provide a tour in rain or snow but you are more than welcome to reschedule if conditions are not suitable for you. The only time a tour will be canceled on our end is if there is a thunderstorm on the radar as we deem that unsafe conditions.
Appropriate footwear/clothing: Closed toe shoes are mandatory, please dont wear anything that you would be upset if it got dirty. absolutly not food on your person when visiting the animals inside their enclosure.

Absolutely! We welcome children of all ages. We also accomodate groups of all sizes!
Yes, if there are thunderstorms in the forecast. Please give us a call if you are unsure if your visit needs to be canceled due to weather.

Yes, but keep in mind we are a working farm and the ground could be uneven, with loose gravel and grassy areas.
Absolutly, we accept monetary doantions as well as goods. We have wish lists on Amazon and Tractor Supply.
We are always looking for volunteers to help support the animals in their day-to-day care. We are always in need of monetary donations to help fund veterinary costs, as well as grain and other items needed to operate.
